NavNGo

Igo Is the success of the NavNGo iGO GPS  familiar to you ? It's their second time at CEBIT to present the latest developments in navigation and mobile applications solutions. Already very successful with I-GO (used by Mio, Medion, LG, Samsung, Sony, Philips, …) they came at CEBIT with two big news this year : a full 3D navigation software (and notice that the Europe map takes only 1G) and a wireless-ready application, able to connect to real-time info, such as the weather forecast, and a sync Agenda/Contacts compatible with Microsoft. GPSWireless

407151907_ddbccc1ca5_1

Navx is at GPSWireless, the 11th annual mobile information markets conference and here is an interesting anecdote from the CEO of Telenav. See the analogy : Internet was created by the military in 1963, market sales started in 1995, after 22 years. GPS device was created by the army too, in 1973 and sales started in 2005 : so after 22 years, just like the Internet. Funny coincidence, isn't it ? Anyway it seems that everybody agrees about some points on the mobile information market:  the PND is the best format for GPS, mobile service's will take up at some point, virtual mapping tools will turn out to be a big boon for the advertising industry and traffic information is already crowded with lots of competitors ! Keep in touch for other news !
