I would say that dynamic local points of interest is key

I'd like a "close to me" application on my phone.

It'd show the map of my neighbourood & I could tick or untick boxes to get :
* Gas price
* Velib stations (with the information about how many bikes or free parks avalaible)
* wifi spots
* public toilets
* .............

I can remember that these all started with the chips used on phones for 911 calling verification and it is good to see that is has taken a leap to GPS Phones. This is an astounding leap to speak of.
