Picasa on Google Maps, Picasa on your mobile

Two good news : Google's Picasa Web albums lets you now georeference photos from inside the browser, using Google Maps.

The process is very simple : you just click on the "Add location" link, which leads to a Google  Maps popup on the page, then you search for a place and you tweak the exact location for a photo. See Ogle Earth's for details.

And the second good news: Google has launched the first version of Picasa Web Albums built specifically for mobile devices. You can now carry around all your snapshots and you can  even keep track of photo updates from your contacts -- it's possible to leave a quick comment on their photos, using your phone. Thumbnails and photos are automatically re-sized for your device's screen, so pictures look good and download fast; find more info here.

ps. Have you noticed that on Google Maps you can now click & drag to change destinations along your route ? If not, see the Google video and have a look here !
